Overview of Position:
Provide Plant Engineering and Operations leadership to provide process engineering, maintenance, project engineering and EHS services to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Morgantown manufacturing facility. Ensure plant Operations has the capability to meet customer needs in compliance with safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirements. Work closely with EHS, Operations, Quality, Technology, Materials Management, Finance and Procurement staff at headquarters and locally to perform engineering work related to support business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervises production processes ensuring safety and efficiency requirements comply with company standards
Analyzes existing processes and procedures and makes recommendations regarding improvements to the system
Responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing policies and procedures related to safety, processes and efficiency
Ensures processes operate at optimal levels with regards to quality, conversion and output
Observe, measure, collect and analyze process data to conduct root cause analysis studies and recommend appropriate process changes
Provides training and development to staff
Focuses on managerial aspects of engineering projects such as cost, completion date and resource allocation as well as reviews technical concepts
Responsible for planning, devising or adapting methods to improve manufacturing production
May be involved with solving particularly difficult technical problems
Identifies and recommends cost savings methods and processes
Processes documents, conducts inspections and manages the maintenance of engineering records
Implements safe work practices including use of personal protective equipment, housekeeping, etc
Responsible for managing the work of professions including recruiting, performance review and training for the department
Job Requirements :
Required Skills or Abilities:
BS degree. Engineering field required, Masters preferred
Five to seven years experience in engineering, operations leadership, capitol project management, PSM.
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong project management and problems solving skills
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong MS Office and SAP skills
Knowledge of and experience in process control desired
Knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD desired
Familiarity with world class manufacturing techniques (ISO, Lean and Six Sigma)
Good communication skills.
An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.
Demonstrated capability to take initiative to drive change.
