Job Title: Professional Services Consultant-System Admin.

Job Description: Experience working with clients to identify and understand
requirements driven by both technical and work flow constraints.
-Expertise with hardware and software on High Performance
Computing Systems (Unix, Linux).
-High level of problem isolation and identification skills.
-Expected to work after hours and weekends when necessary.
-Configure new systems.
-Perform basic system administration tasks such as disk
management, space and memory allocation, operating system
upgrades, and patch management.
-Monitor the performance and availability of designated
systems, proactively and reactively address problems,
maintain a log of activities, and provide end-user
administration services, including backup/restore.
-Assist with allocation of system resources and operating
system tuning and configuration.
-Write scripts to automate necessary procedures such as
backup and application archiving.
-Install and test any licensed software updates, releases,
and patches provided by SGI and third parties.
-Provide periodic written and/or oral progress reports.
-Perform error log monitoring, analysis, and resolution.
-Assist in hardware failure determination and resolution.
Job Requirements:
-BS/MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering related
field or equivalent experience.
-7-10 years minimum experience in Computer Technology
preferably in a High Performance Computing (HPC) environment.
-Experience with tape management, large, high performance
storage and Hierarchical Storage Management Systems a plus.
-Candidate must be a US citizen.
-TS Clearance
